Data protection awareness
Document training and awareness measures – with templates to get started.
Art. 39(1)(b) GDPR explicitly counts awareness-raising and training of staff among the data protection officer’s tasks. In an audit the question is not whether training happened, but what you can prove it with. This module keeps exactly that evidence: what, when, with how many people and by whom.

Measure types
Five fixed values – the evidence is grouped by them towards the authority.
| Type | What it is typically for |
|---|---|
| EINZELSCHULUNG | Briefing individual people, for example on joining or changing roles. |
| GRUPPENTRAINING | In-person or online training for a department or team. |
| E_LEARNING | Self-paced courses with a completion check. |
| WORKSHOP | A working format, for example on deletion concepts or data subject rights. |
| UNTERWEISUNG | A short mandatory briefing, often recurring annually. |
What a record holds
- Title and type of the measure.
- Date it was carried out.
- Number of participants and – optionally – their names.
- Who delivered the training, internal or external.
- Whether the measure is complete. A planned but not delivered training therefore stays visible as an open item.
- Notes – for instance content, materials used or notable events.
Templates to get started
The module ships training templates with a suggested agenda and a recommended duration in minutes – in the language you request. If you have no training concept of your own, this is the fastest route to a measure that holds up in substance.
Relationship to the Academy
The Academy is the digital course with a test and a certificate per person. This module documents measures of every kind – including the team session, the workshop and the briefing that never pass through an e-learning system. Together they form the complete training evidence; neither replaces the other.
