SharePoint integration: record your evidence store. Configuration, no automatic sync
Much of your evidence already lives in SharePoint. In SimpleAct you record the SharePoint site and document library where your organisation keeps compliance evidence. There is currently no automatic synchronisation of files.
Today: configuration
The integration stores the site URL, document library and app credentials. In this version SimpleAct deliberately does not run the OAuth or app consent handshake automatically; files are neither read nor uploaded.

What the integration does today
A documented store, not a file sync
The SharePoint integration is a link at configuration level. It records where evidence is meant to live; individual documents are linked in SimpleAct through evidence links.
- Record site and library
- Site URL, document library, tenant domain and the client ID and secret of an app registration are stored in SimpleAct. The secret is shown masked afterwards.
- Mark as evidence store
- A switch marks the library as your organisation’s evidence store. It documents the decision; no function that reads files from it is tied to it.
- Evidence by link
- You attach individual documents as links to evidence, controls or documentation, as before. SimpleAct does not check whether the file exists in SharePoint.
How it works
Recording SharePoint
Set-up happens under Enterprise options → Integrations.
Enter the site URL
The site URL is required. Optionally add document library, tenant domain and app credentials.
Save and test
The test confirms that the configuration is saved. It does not connect to SharePoint.
Link evidence
Your team stores documents in the recorded library and links them to the matching evidence in SimpleAct.

Are files from SharePoint taken into SimpleAct automatically?
No. The integration stores the configuration. You link documents in SimpleAct by URL.
Does SimpleAct check the connection to SharePoint?
Not yet. The test only confirms that the configuration was saved.
Then what is the configuration good for?
It records where your organisation keeps evidence. Something auditors ask about. When we extend the integration, the store is already in place.
