Link a shared drive
An entire shared drive can be set as an evidence source — e.g. for QMS documents or training records.
Not every piece of evidence lives in SimpleAct itself. With the Google Drive integration, link shared drives or folders directly as an external evidence source for your governance requirements.
Available in the product
SimpleAct links Google Drive folders to governance requirements — existing document stores become an evidence source without moving files.
What the integration does
Much evidence — policies, training materials, approval documents — already lives in Google Drive. The integration makes it usable without migration.
An entire shared drive can be set as an evidence source — e.g. for QMS documents or training records.
Alternatively, link individual folders to a governance requirement when only part of the store is relevant.
Linked content is available in the evidence register and can be assigned to requirements, controls, or AI systems.
Workflow
No data migration — your existing store stays right where it is.
Enter the service account email and its key in SimpleAct settings. Access is limited to content you explicitly share.
Share the desired shared drive or folder with the service account and enter the folder or shared drive ID.
The linked store appears as an evidence source and is ready to assign to requirements and for exports.
Built for existing document stores — not as another place to store files.
No. The integration links your existing store as an evidence source — your files stay in Google Drive.
Only read access to the shared drives or folders you explicitly share. You control the sharing directly in Google Drive.
Yes, each linked folder or shared drive can independently be assigned to one or more requirements.
With SimpleAct's Google Drive integration, existing document stores become auditable governance evidence — no migration required.
